About New Zealand

New Zealand is one of the oceanic island countries located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. The country is located in the East of Australia and South of the New Caledonia, Fiji, and Tonga. The country comprises of two geographical main land masses, one is the north island named as Te-Ika-a-Māui or other one is the south island named as Te-Waipounamu. It’s also having numerous other islands to outshine the beauty of this terrain.

This is assumed to be the last livable land to inhibit by the people. Due to this reason, the place is having larger biodiversity of attractive wild life sanctuaries, big flora and fungal which are causing the place to have changed topography. The sharp mountain peaks like South Alps, making it as the wonderland on earth and enhances the beauty of this place. Although, country has Wellington as the capital city, but Auckland is coming out as the most populous city dwelled by the citizens of this place.

The climate conditions are mild here, and maximum temperature varies between 10 deg centigrade to 16 deg centigrade. There are many other attractive places like Christchurch and Auckland which receives moderate rains in off rainy seasons and provides cooler, cloudier and pleasant climate throughout the year.

The current population of the country is about 4.5 million. As this is a mainly an urban country and maximum number of people are living in 16 main urban areas. As per a survey, around 53 percent of people are mainly living in the four largest cities like Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, and Hamilton.

Without a doubt, the country has got developed, prosper and modern market economy with higher purchasing powers and an effective GDP of people. The economy of the country is solely depends upon revenue generated out of agriculture, sealing, whaling, flax, gold, kauri gum, and native timber. The currency used here is Kiwi dollar. All trading and financial works are done by using this currency.

Apart from that, country is getting huge returns from tourism, as this remains one of the prominent places of drawing the maximum number of visitors annually. Oil and natural gas emergence have come up as a lucrative sector of higher returns.

Major cities of New Zealand are Auckland, Christchurch, North Shore, Wellington, Waitakere, Hamilton, Dunedin, Tauranga, Lower Hutt, Palmerston North, Rotorua, Hastings, Nelson, Napier and Porirua. A large number of people are living here for finding good sources of income to live a quality life.
